Meridion Group

Meridion Group represents The Equilibrium Initiative in its countries and regions of activity.

Our mission is to close gaps between rules and markets and between what is promised and what is delivered. Each area of work has its own team, and all of them share this mission and a passion for new ground.

About

The Equilibrium Initiative looks for imbalances in the economy and in regulation and develops viable business models from them. A rule that makes sense on its own can leave a gap where two markets meet, and that is where it looks.

A further imbalance lies between what is promised to a customer and what is actually delivered. The initiative therefore also researches what the people who use a product really need and what the product can honestly be said to offer.

Meridion Group Limited holds the mandate to represent the initiative. Behind this work stand people with many years of experience in international business and in research. Several new fields have come together under one roof. We explore them with curiosity and test our ideas carefully, and we keep our paths open to follow what the research and the markets show us.

Areas of work

01

Health and products

People should be able to understand their health and improve it, with every step open to checking.

This rests on knowledge that can be checked. Advertising promises play no part. The aim is good health through every stage of life, beyond the treatment of illness.

Our products are designed from the studies in the specialist literature. We compare the leading studies and the active substances they describe, and we set specifications and dose from what the evidence shows the body needs, rather than copying what the market already sells. The products reach people through different channels, with a clear account of what they get.

02

Sustainable raw materials

A common language is the starting point for every raw material and every industry.

Entering a market is difficult in every industry and for every raw material, because producers and buyers describe things in different ways. We develop methods and standards that give all parties a clear language for what they offer and what they require.

On this basis we bring products to consumers and open market access for economic participants who usually do not have it. What agriculture leaves behind as by-products becomes a raw material for green industry.

03

Climate and sustainability markets

The path into the European market should be clear for those who supply it from abroad.

Our work covers sustainability certificates for raw materials from waste and by-products, sustainable fuels, emissions trading and the greenhouse gas reduction quota. It is aimed at importers and international suppliers who bring goods to Europe.

Regulation in Europe creates new demand in this field, and we are building the foundations to take part.

Principles

We think from the end. We ask first what the customer or consumer needs and then work back to the market that can serve it.

We stand behind what we say. Every decision has reasons we can explain, and what we do not yet know we say openly, so that partners always know where we stand.
